Special Mentions
I am dedicating this page to any Special Mentions that my images have gotten. This is something that I'm excited about and I want to share with everyone. I think these are big deals and serve as inspiration for myself and others. I hope you will be pleased to see this as well! Thank you so much for your continued support!

March 5, 2021 -
I submitted these for the Denvertography. I originally thought this was a contest, so I held a poll to see which ones to use. I ended up changing one of the images at the last minute, because the colors just stood out better for me. What I didn't realize was that you could submit photos and they would just list them. You can find my listing for the month of March, HERE. I encourage to take a look at the home page and look at the other amazing images as well! |
DIA Photo Contest - 2019
I entered these images to a photo contest at DIA. I was one of over 900 artists who entered images, which gave a total of 4,174 entries for the jurors to review. The final round consisted of 35 pieces and 56 artists. While I was not one of those 56 artists, I did make it to the second to last round of judging. It was an absolute honor to get that far. The winners of the contest would have their images displayed at DIA. These were the images I submitted that got me to the second to last round of judging. |

Another Gurushots entry, this one was chosen the Minimalism Contest for the Digitally Showcased at the Los Angles Center of Photography exhibit, in Los Angles, California. I took this shot for play at rodeo, this loyal companion stood watch as the cowboys and cowgirls did their rides. |

This is the image that was chosen to be digitally showcased on March 14, 2020 in Birmingham, UK at the Photography Show being held there. What another amazing opportunity! "2 Hearts, 1 Bond"
This image was entered into a contest via a site called GuruShots. While I didn't win the contest, I did receive an email on August 28th, informing that it was chosen to be Digitally Showcased at the Laurent Gallery in Melbourne, Australia. I'm very proud of this image, it's an image of a friend and her horse Maya. I'm also very honored that she allowed me the opportunity to enter the contest with this image.

Larimer County Horseman Association: LCHA
I attended the LCHA's Poker Ride in 2017. I attended this with my husband and some friends. However, since I was unable to participate, because we didn't have an extra horse for me, I decided to take my camera and practice some photography with the scenery there. While doing so, the LCHA's representatives asked if I would be willing to take some photos for them, to use for advertising and their end of the year slide show. As a result, the images that they chose to use, ended up in their end of the year slide show, on their website under the Events tab (5th section down) and in their July 2018 Newsletter (pg 11) where they advertised for that year's poker ride. I feel very honored and bless to have such an amazing opportunity and to know that my images were very much appreciated and enjoyed!
