About Eurynome
Eurynome Photography came about a long time ago when I created a website for a college class. I loved the name because it was named for a Greek Goddess, who was described as: "Universal One, Pelasgian Creatress, who alone on the primordial ocean of Chaos until she brought the elements to order." I got this information from a site a long time ago, but I fell in love with the name because of the way it sounded and because I've always felt a strong connection to the elements. I also thought it was neat that she had that much control over something so powerful.
Eurynome Photography used to be called Eurynome Twilight Photography and I decided to shorten the name to Eurynome. I really feel a connection between the name and the images I take, especially my nature ones! |
About me...
|
My name is Kelly, I live in the beautiful state of Colorado and I'm a stay at home mom. Photography gives me joy, there is something exciting about catching moments with your camera. I enjoy catching natural moments though, meaning as they happen. Because life happens and there can be great exciting and memorable moments when life happens!
I still consider myself very much an amateur, however I have learned a lot over the last few years. Knowing that, I do still have lots to learn, especially with a digital camera. I was first introduced to what has been my hobby, when I took a Photography class my last year of high school. Back then, digital cameras weren't around, so I was using my mom's 35mm film Canon AE1 Camera and I had so much fun! Although it has been my hobby for a while now, I am excited about taking it to the next level and to start pushing towards turning this into my business! I've really come to love taking pictures and truth be told, I could take pictures all day and be completely content! I started off using a Canon Rebel digital camera, it was a hand down to me and it's a great start to my hobby. Now I own a Canon Rebel T6 camera, it was a Christmas Gift from my husband two years ago and I absolutely LOVE it!! My goal is to upgrade to a Canon 5D Mark iv by the end of the year! I'm mostly content with taking pictures in nature, of animals and of buildings. I've recently started taking portrait pictures for a friend, so I plan to do a little bit of portrait work this year and in the future when I actually launch my business. Over this last year, I have entered contests, had the amazing opportunity to be in a Digital Showcase in Australia with one of my images, done some portrait work and I'm eager to take things to the next level! Currently none of my current images are for sale, however I would be open to discussing those, if you are interested. I plan to move my site to Pixieset, where I will have a full website, client Galleries and a shop to list my images for sale, as well as allow my future clients to order their images for print via my site. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy my images here and I hope you consider joining me on my journey towards making my Dream a Reality!! Thank you for your support and for stopping in! |
